AMES LIBRARY: Open Day | Arts & Culture
Ever wanted to speak at conversation volume in a library? This is your chance! A year ago, Ames voters approved an $18 million bond issue for the library renewal project. On Saturday, 1st between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., you have the opportunity to visit the empty building and sign a wall.
The library will soon re-locate to the former Hastings Store at 620 Lincolnway in the Lincoln Center while renovations are being completed.
The library is due to reopen in its temporary location by December the 10th.
Once all the construction is done, the library will reopen in its Douglas Avenue location in 2014.
