RAILROAD SOCIETY: Auction To Raise Funds For Carriage | Community Spirit
The Iowa Railroad Historical Society is hosting a fundraiser auction at the James H. Andrew Railroad Museum and History Center Sunday, April 7th at 1 p. m. in Boone.
Part of the proceeds will go towards the society’s Rock Island passenger coach; a carriage that is handicap-accessible but requires significant updating at an estimated cost of $50,000.
The auction's theme is Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
Admission is $8 for both the silent and live auctions. Food, desert and wine will be provided by local suppliers.
Auction items include airplane rides, a Boone and Scenic Valley Dinner Train ride for up to forty eight, Disney World tickets, antique car rides, Green Bay Packer's signed football, and dinners at a variety of excellent central Iowa area restaurants as well as many more items listed online.
