DISASTER SURVEY: Public Perspective Wanted | Environment
The continued drought in Iowa hasn’t been far from the headlines in recent times, now Story County Hazard Mitigation Planning committee is revising its disaster risks.
The planning committee is made up of about thirty-five members from local government, schools, and other agencies which are examining historical data and trends for the future to identify the best strategies to reduce the impact of disasters.
Now, the committee wants the public’s feedback.
They have created a survey to encourage the community to give their perspective on which potential disasters should be considered.
The surveys will be available until March 31st, the results of which will help he committee in their planning.
