DOMESTIC ASSAULT: ISU Player Arrested
News

Cyclone defensive tackle David Irving spent the night in Story County jail Wednesday.

Police arrested Irving following a fight with his girlfriend. Irving faces charges of domestic assault with injury after allegedly punching and cutting his girlfriend’s hair in an afternoon incident.

Irving has started 8 games. The 6’7” junior made his biggest impact last season in the upset win at TCU.

There’s no comment yet from Iowa State’s Paul Rhoads.

Irving did not play this past Saturday due to a non-football health concern.

Irving posted a $2,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for November 25. He could face up to a year in prison.
